Privacy Policy

Being Renewed Together (“BRT”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile application provided by Your Neighbourhood Church (“the church”) to help our members with daily Bible reading, reflection, prayer and community life. This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We only collect information needed to run the app and its features:

• Account information — your name and email address, which you provide when you register, and a password (used only to sign you in).
• Content you create — your personal reflections, including Soul Status entries, Heart Notes, Heart Journey entries and prayers. These are private to your account. If you post in the Community Forum, your posts, comments and any images you attach are visible to other signed-in members of the church.
• Usage information — basic in-app activity (such as which screens and features you use, and session times) so the church can understand how the app is used and improve it.

We do not collect payment or financial information. Giving is handled by a direct bank transfer or by scanning a QR code with your own banking or UPI app — no card or bank details are entered into, or processed by, BRT.

• To create and manage your member account and sign you in.
• To provide the app’s features — your reading plan, journal, prayers and community.
• To display church announcements and giving details to you.
• To understand overall app usage so the church can improve the experience.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, our backend and database provider, acting on the church’s behalf. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:

• with service providers who operate the app’s infrastructure on our behalf (such as Supabase), under obligations to protect it;
• within the app, where you choose to share — for example, Community Forum posts are visible to other signed-in church members; and
• where required by law.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information and content, except anything we are required to keep by law.

You may, at any time:

• access and update your account information within the app;
• delete individual notes, journal entries or forum posts you have created; and
• request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see below).

BRT is intended for church members aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be communicated within the app.
